Abstract

Education in "the Information Age" is changing rapidly. Recent developments in technology have opened new vistas for online education, which offers students the flexibility to learn at convenient times and places. This study focuses on illustrating the importance of modern technology in education especially distance education. It displays the experience of utilizing new forms of technology in online education to enhance learning in general and English language teaching in particular. It further highlights some experiments that the researcher has been implementing in e-learning. The study uses the descriptive analytical approach as these experiments are described and evaluated and recommendations given..
