Article Processing Charge (APC)

Processing and Publication Contribution
The International Journal of Arabic-English Studies (IJAES) provides open-access content, making all articles and related materials freely available on its website. To support this, authors (or their institutions or funding bodies) are required to pay an Article Processing Charge (APC) upon acceptance of their research papers. The processing contribution below applies to articles of no longer than 8000 words. In case the submission exceeds this limit, extra fees are added.
Authors and Processing Fees (NET PAYMENT)
1. Principal and single authors of articles submitted by no more than two authors, who are nonmembers and whose sole or first affiliation is in low-income to lower-middle income countries must pay JD900 ($1270).
2. Principal and single authors of articles submitted by no more than two authors, who are nonmembers and whose sole or first affiliation is in upper-middle-income to higher-income countries must pay JD1100 ($1550).
3. A single, principal and/or corresponding author of an article who is a member of APETAU and has paid their membership dues for at least two consecutive years BEFORE the year of submission, is eligible for a discount for one paper per year based on the country of their sole or first affiliation in as shown in the table below.

4. Authors who exceed the word limit (8000) will be charged JD100 ($141) for an extra 1000 words. Under no circumstances should submissions exceed 9000 words without prior approval from the Editor-in-Chief, as this may result in a significant change in the processing fees.
5. Book reviews, unless solicited by the Editor-in-Chief, incur a processing and publication fee of JD200 ($282).
6. Notes, Discussions and Scoping Reviews are subject to a processing and publication fee of JD350 ($493).
7. Articles submitted by three or more authors (members or nonmembers of APETAU) may be subject to an extra fee of JD100 ($141) starting from the third author onwards.
8. The APC may be partially or wholly waived in certain cases at the discretion of the Editor-in-Chief.
